Sleight School Classroom — Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sleight School Classroom (the “Classroom,” “app,” “service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and deletes personal information when users access lessons, courses, tutorials, seminars, and related learning features in the Sleight School Classroom app. A clear privacy policy should describe what information is collected, how it is used, how long it is retained, and how users can exercise privacy rights.
Sleight School Classroom is separate from the Sleight School community hosted on Circle. This Privacy Policy applies to the Classroom app and its related website, pages, and services, and does not replace any separate policy governing the Circle community.
1. Information Collected
The Classroom may collect the following categories of information:
Account and profile information: name, email address, username, password hash, billing country, and similar registration details.
Purchase and subscription information: plan type, transaction status, invoice metadata, and limited payment-related details provided by payment processors. Full payment card numbers are typically processed by third-party payment providers rather than stored directly by the app.
Learning and usage information: enrolled lessons, lesson progress, course completion, quiz responses, timestamps, watch history, downloads, bookmarks, and activity within the Classroom.
Support and communication information: messages sent through support forms, emails, and feedback submissions.
Device and technical information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, log data, referral URLs, and approximate location inferred from IP address.
Cookies and similar technologies: information collected through cookies or similar tools used for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, and service performance.
User-submitted content: information users choose to submit in forms, lesson notes, assignments, or other features made available inside the Classroom.
The Classroom should collect only the personal information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and support the educational service.
2. How Information Is Used
Personal information may be used to:
- create and manage accounts;
- provide access to lessons, tutorials, seminars, and related educational content;
- process purchases, subscriptions, discounts, refunds, and account administration;
- track lesson progress and personalize the learning experience;
- send transactional messages such as login alerts, receipts, service notices, and updates about purchased or enrolled content;
- respond to support requests and user communications;
- maintain security, detect fraud, prevent abuse, and debug technical issues;
- analyze usage trends and improve the Classroom’s features, performance, and content offerings; and
- comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Personal information should be used for the operation of the service and related educational purposes described in this policy, and not for unrelated secondary uses that have not been disclosed to users.
3. Legal Bases and Consent
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, the Classroom may rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
Where consent is required for certain cookies, marketing communications, or similar optional processing, the Classroom may request that consent separately.
4. Sharing of Information
Personal information may be shared with:
- service providers that help operate the Classroom, such as hosting providers, analytics vendors, customer support tools, email delivery tools, and payment processors;
- professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants, or insurers where necessary;
- authorities, regulators, or law enforcement where required by law or legal process; and
- a buyer, investor, or successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.
The Classroom does not sell personal information for money. If any law treats certain analytics or advertising disclosures as a “sale” or “sharing,” users will be offered any rights required by that law.
5. Data Retention
Personal information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the service, maintain account records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Best practices call for defined retention and disposal standards rather than indefinite retention.
If an account is closed or a deletion request is approved, some information may still be retained where necessary for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, backup integrity, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
6. User Rights and Deletion Requests
Users may have the right, depending on where they live, to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of certain personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
Sleight School Classroom provides a deletion request feature on the user dashboard. Submitting a request through that feature does not guarantee immediate or complete deletion in every case, because some information may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud prevention, transaction, or recordkeeping reasons.
The Classroom may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of a person making a privacy request before acting on it. Users may also be able to appeal or resubmit requests where required by law.
7. Children and Student Use
The Classroom is intended for users who are legally permitted to use the service under applicable law and the Terms of Service. If the Classroom is offered to minors through parents, guardians, schools, or educational organizations, additional notices, consents, or contractual terms may apply. Student privacy guidance emphasizes transparency about data collection, deletion, retention, disclosure, and educational use limitations.
The Classroom does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If it is learned that personal information has been collected unlawfully from a child, the information may be deleted or additional consent may be obtained as appropriate.
8. Security
The Classroom uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Best practices include limiting access to personal data, using secure storage, maintaining security controls, and reviewing privacy and security practices on an ongoing basis.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. International Transfers
If the Classroom stores or processes personal information in countries other than the user’s own, the information may be transferred to and processed in those countries, subject to appropriate safeguards where required by law.
10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Classroom may use cookies, pixels, local device storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember settings, measure engagement, improve performance, and maintain security.
Users may be able to control certain cookies through browser settings or any cookie controls made available by the Classroom, though disabling some technologies may affect functionality.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
The Classroom may integrate with or link to third-party tools, payment providers, embedded video platforms, analytics providers, or other services. Those third parties may apply their own terms and privacy policies to information collected through their services.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes may be communicated by updating the effective date, posting a notice in the Classroom, or using other reasonable means. Privacy policies should be easy to find and clearly labeled for users.
13. Contact Information
Questions or privacy requests may be submitted through the deletion/privacy tools in the user dashboard or through the contact details provided in the Classroom.
Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Sleight School Classroom, including its lessons, courses, tutorials, seminars, downloads, videos, educational content, account features, and related services. Effective Terms of Service generally define user rights and responsibilities, payment and acceptable-use rules, intellectual property rights, and liability limitations.
By creating an account, accessing the Classroom, purchasing content, or using any part of the service, the user agrees to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
Users must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement, or must use the Classroom with any consent required by applicable law. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for activity that occurs under their account.
Users agree to provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date. The Classroom may suspend or terminate accounts that are inaccurate, fraudulent, insecure, or in violation of these Terms.
2. Service Description
Sleight School Classroom is an educational platform for accessing magic-related lessons, tutorials, classes, seminars, and related learning materials. Access levels may vary based on free access, paid products, subscriptions, bundles, promotions, discounts, or other offerings.
The Classroom may add, remove, update, pause, or modify features, content, instructors, pricing, or availability at any time.
3. Purchases, Billing, and Refunds
Certain parts of the Classroom may require payment. Users agree to pay all applicable fees, taxes, and charges presented at checkout.
If the Classroom offers subscriptions, renewals, installment plans, discounts, or promotional pricing, the applicable terms presented at purchase will govern. Unless otherwise stated at the point of sale, all purchases are final and non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law.
The Classroom may use third-party payment processors. Payment processing is subject to the processor’s terms and privacy practices.
4. License and Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, the Classroom grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use purchased or provided educational content for personal, non-commercial use only.
Users may not:
- copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or publicly display Classroom content except as expressly allowed;
- share account access with others;
- download, record, rip, scrape, mirror, or bulk-extract videos, lessons, or materials except through features expressly provided by the Classroom;
- remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
- use the Classroom or its content to build a competing service, training product, or commercial library; or
- use bots, crawlers, or automated means to access the service except as authorized.
5. Intellectual Property
The Classroom, including its videos, lesson materials, curriculum, trademarks, branding, text, graphics, software, and related content, is owned by Sleight School or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
No ownership rights are transferred to users. Except for the limited license above, all rights are reserved.
6. User Content and Feedback
If the Classroom allows users to upload assignments, comments, questions, notes, reviews, or other content, users retain ownership of their content but grant the Classroom a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and use that content as needed to operate, improve, and provide the service.
If users submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback, the Classroom may use them without restriction or obligation, unless prohibited by law.
7. Acceptable Use
Users may not use the Classroom to:
- violate any law or regulation;
- infringe the rights of others;
- harass, abuse, threaten, defame, or impersonate others;
- upload malicious code, spam, or harmful content;
- interfere with the integrity, performance, or security of the service; or
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
The Classroom may investigate suspected misuse and may remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts where appropriate.
8. Educational and Entertainment Nature
The Classroom provides educational and informational content about magic performance, technique, and related subjects. The service does not guarantee any specific performance, professional, educational, or financial outcome.
Users are responsible for how they apply what they learn.
9. Availability and Changes
The Classroom may experience downtime, maintenance, updates, or technical interruptions. Access to specific lessons, seminars, or materials may change over time.
The Classroom does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent availability of any particular feature or content item unless expressly stated in writing.
10. Termination
Users may stop using the Classroom at any time. The Classroom may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, if it reasonably believes a user has violated these Terms, created risk, failed to pay required fees, or misused the service.
Upon termination, access to some or all content may end immediately, except where law requires otherwise or where separate written terms apply.
11. Privacy
Use of the Classroom is also governed by the Sleight School Classroom Privacy Policy, which describes how personal information is collected, used, shared, retained, and deleted.
12. Disclaimers
The Classroom is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Classroom disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sleight School Classroom and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Classroom.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Sleight School Classroom for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount paid by the user to the Classroom in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100 if no amount was paid, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply in full.
14. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sleight School Classroom and its affiliates, personnel, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of a user’s misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state or country specified by Sleight School Classroom, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The venue, arbitration process, class-action waiver, informal dispute process, and related dispute terms may be specified in the production version based on the business’s preferred legal structure and jurisdiction.
16. Changes to These Terms
The Classroom may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be directed through the contact details provided in the Classroom.
